uVme Game Screen Avatars
Monday, March 17th, 2008In order to maintain the integrity of your uVme games experience, we have removed the “avatars” from the game-play screen.
If you play a “one-on-one” game, the identity of your opponent is now provided after the game is completed (if you prefer to know the identity of your opponent beforehand, then you can use the “search” facility and send a challenge to a specific player).
The one-on-one player selection is made by the uVme player-ranking system, using our “Fair Play Policy” (see below) to ensure you play against a player of similar skill and that both players receive the same level of information about who their opponent is (so the second player is not given an unfair advantage).
Not knowing who you are playing until afterwards will enhance your gaming experience by adding to the game’s tension, which in turn adds to the excitement of the challenge.
It could be a complete stranger – your best friend – or your arch-rival… complete the challenge and reveal the results!
uVme’s Fair Play Policy:
Our Fair Play Policy will ensure that when you play in a uVme Tournament which randomly matches you against another player, you will by matched against a player of a similar skill level.
After each game, your skill ranking is adjusted based on your results and the number of times you played the game, plus some other factors. So if you’re new to uVme and our games, there is still a good chance you’ll win.
